There is a great turnout for this weeks theme and its cool to see different interpretations of how people would rip off a favorite. I really like Shawn O'Keefe's Dave Kinsey rip off and considering the prize is Dave Kinsey's work it was a fitting entry.
Here's another image I entered into the Fecal Face contest a while back that scored me first place. The theme was balloons.
I'm stoked to have Red Dragon skateboards as a client. Red Dragon has been a driving force in the Canadian skateboard scene and prides itself with having those Canadian roots. Here's a peek into some of the designs that I've been creating for them. I've got a bunch more stuff to finish up for them so stay tuned as I'm sure I'll be showing them.

I was excited about doing a parody of the infamous Jim Phillips Santa Cruz design. Jim Phillips is a legend in the skateboard graphics scene. Here's my interpretation for Red Dragon. This was the first time I attempted a graphic solely using CS3 and a tablet, I'm still learning and hopefully improving.



After working thru my tattoo apprenticeship in Gastown, Vancouver at Twin Villain, I had a great opportunity to study the art of Asian dragons under the renowned John the Dutchman. The Dutchman is a westcoast tattoo artist that paved the road for custom tattooing. He has one of the nicest studios in Canada and a very talented crew of artists that work there with him. Studying Asian art and tattooing in a shop that talented was intimidating at first just trying to fit in. Here's a few more dutch inspired pieces I drew...
